Last year, the BDE Sancho found us flats through Travel Solutions. I think it will be the same for you. You have to know that it's probably the easiest way to get an apartment but it is not the cheapest one. You can find it by yourself: it will probably be cheaper than with Travel.

Last year when we made the inscription, the French agency in Paris came in EFREI and promised us that we would be only two or three EFREI students with non-French speakers by flat. But in reality, it was totally different. The English agency put us in flats with only EFREI students. So at the beginning, I wanted to be with a friend in a flat with foreigners and at the end, I was with him and six other French students.

About the payment of Travel, you have to go and pay weekly at Travel solutions:

When you arrive in London, you have already paid two weeks in advance so you will not be obliged to go to London Solution the first two weeks. But don't forget to pay after that or... "the Italian guy" from Travel will come in your flat a Sunday early in the morning to ask for his money :o).

I don't know your timetable for the day you will be at UCL, but last year, we had two free hours from 2.00 to 4.00 for "self-study" and if you had no time to go and pay your rent, it was enough to go to Travel and back. So if you can't go there another day, that could help you. If you can, pay each two weeks (or more if you want) not to go there every week.

The life in England and particulary in London is very expensive.

Moreover, you can't find the same products as in France: for example, you can't find long life milk, so if you buy one pint of it you mustn't drink it after more than one or two days or you will take a risk to be ill. If you like mashed potatoes, you will have to cooked them because you can't buy dehydrate potatoes in Sainsbury and Tesco like in France in your supermarket.

I was surpprised by the fact that in England yogurt are sold singly instead in France you buy them four by four, same for fruits.
